Beit Aryeh was established in 1981 by a group of 60 families, primarily employees of Israel Aerospace Industries. Named after Aryeh Ben-Eliezer, a notable Revisionist Zionist leader, the community gained local council status in 1989. In 2004, it merged with the neighboring settlement of Ofarim, forming the combined municipality of Beit Aryeh-Ofarim. Today, the community encompasses approximately 1,200 families.
