The community's name, Haggai, is an acronym of their first names. Located in the southern Hebron Hills, Beit Hagai operates under the Har Hevron Regional Council. In 1989, residents founded a special needs children's village, providing a home and education for numerous young people. The community also manages a significant stone quarry, contributing substantially to its economy.
