Kfar Etzion, a religious kibbutz in the Judean Hills, was originally established in 1943 by members of the Hapoel HaMizrachi movement. The community faced destruction during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War but was re-established in 1967 by descendants of the original residents and members of the Bnei Akiva movement.
