Kibbutz Yahel was established in 1977 as the first kibbutz founded by the Reform Jewish movement in Israel. Located in the Arava region of the Negev desert, approximately 60 kilometers north of Eilat, Yahel has developed an economy centered around date palm cultivation, a dairy farm, and renewable energy initiatives. The community has also expanded its tourism sector, offering accommodations and educational programs to visitors.

Transportation to and from Kibbutz Yahel is facilitated by several bus routes connecting it to major cities. Bus lines such as 23, 391, 397, and 993 provide access to and from the kibbutz, with stops at Yahel and Yahel Junction. These services ensure that residents and visitors can conveniently travel to nearby urban centers, including Eilat, enhancing the kibbutz's accessibility.
