CITY HISTORY & DEVELOPMENT
Avnei Hefetz was established in 1990 by a group of Orthodox Jewish students from the Karnei Shomron Hesder Yeshiva, with assistance from the Amana settlement movement. The community's name is derived from Isaiah 54:12: "And I will make thy pinnacles of rubies, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy border of precious stones." Initially, the settlement faced challenges such as limited infrastructure, including inconsistent electricity and water supply.
