CITY HISTORY & DEVELOPMENT
Shaked was established in June 1981 by the Mishkei Herut Beitar organization, with the completion of its first ten homes. The settlement was named after the wild almond trees native to the area. Situated near the Green Line in the northern West Bank, Shaked has developed into a community settlement under the jurisdiction of the Shomron Regional Council.
