Kfar Maimon is a religious moshav in the northwestern Negev, approximately 5 kilometers from Netivot. Established in 1959 by a group from the Bnei Akiva movement, it was the first moshav founded by this religious Zionist youth organization. The community was named after Rabbi Yehuda Leib Maimon, a signatory of Israel's Declaration of Independence and the nation's first Minister of Religious Affairs. Over the years, Kfar Maimon has developed into a stable agricultural community.
