CITY HISTORY & DEVELOPMENT
Re'im was established in 1949 by members of the Israel Boy and Girl Scouts Federation who had been demobilized from the Palmach. The kibbutz was designed by architect Hanan Havron, a founding member, whose minimalist architectural style reflected his social and architectural philosophies. In 2008, Re'im initiated a solar power project, aiming to become the first community in Israel fully powered by solar energy for domestic use. Today, Re'im continues to thrive as a secular kibbutz in the north-western Negev desert, under the jurisdiction of the Eshkol Regional Council.

NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
Kibbutz Re'im has recently inaugurated a temporary housing complex in Tel Aviv to accommodate its members during a period of evacuation. This complex includes 130 family units and 14 youth apartments, along with facilities such as daycare centers, kindergartens, a community center, and a treatment room.

Kibbutz Re'im is accessible via bus routes 36 and 379, with stops at Re'im and Re'im Junction, both within a short walking distance from the community.
